Ohio is made up of 88 counties. Each county has their own government. The vast majority of Ohio counties have an elected Prosecuting Attorney, Clerk of Courts of Common Pleas, Auditor, Sheriff, Recorder, Treasurer, Engineer, Coroner, and three County Commissioners.
